The first, is to figure out what you want. What do you want to do with the space? What do you hope to accomplish? Would you want to put faux stone panels in there, or just keep it a certain color? Do you want to replace everything with wallpaper? Do you want to expand it and include other facets? Whatever it might be, make sure that you work on this first.  You will want to make sure you’re doing things that work for the space, are cost-effective, and make it functional.

Sure, a laundry room is mainly used to wash and dry clothes, but often, people can use it for other things, such as storing various cleaning supplies, folding laundry, keeping the dog food in there. Maybe you want to create a space where you can sit, so you can put some faux stone panels in there. Determine what you’re going to use it for, and make sure that you do what you believe is right for you. You can use faux stone panels as well over a door to create hidden closet space in order to store things. Determine what you want to use it for, and then go from there.

Finally, as yourself how you’re going to do laundry and how you’ll use this. Doing this does play a big part. For example, you should think about how often you do it.  If you have a family with multiple people, you might want to set up some sort of organization system for everything. You should also think about where you want to fold your clothes, or if you just want to carry it to the bedrooms.  You might want to create a little space where you fold your laundry, and maybe put a television or a stereo in there to make it easier to fold.  Yu could even put a little clothesline in there to help with drying. Whatever the case, think about how you want to do laundry and how it works for you.

When you choose to remodel a laundry room, you’re often left with a few questions. These design tips will allow you to do it much quicker, with a more efficient sort of space that works for you, your family, and it will be used by everyone in order to make the job easier, and to help you get the job done.

How Sustainable Floor Choices Can Work with Faux Stone panels

When it comes to choosing various floor choices, there are a ton of ways to go.  Often, some people look at looks and cost, often they want to have a sustainable floor choice.  You also need to think about how to have items on top of these areas, such as faux stone panels.

Now, what makes a sustainable floor is simple.  It’s a surface that is created from renewable materials with processes done on them that create only a little bit of an impact on the life cycle. This goes for everything that material goes through within its life, such as manufacturing, the harvesting, and even getting rid of it.  Often, these floor types have a social aspect to them, and in some of these traditional flooring types, they tend to be higher when you look at sustainability, and choosing the type of option that works for you could make a difference between helping that community survive or causing the species to go extinct.

Now, there are a few choices that you have when it comes to your choices in flooring.  They are as follows.

Hardwood is a flooring type that’s super popular and has been around for hundreds of years.  They do add some warmth to the interior area, and often they’re very easy to clean and are good for those with severe allergies.  Often, it’s a very eco-friendly choice as well, and there has been new technology developed to make it easier and more eco-friendly to install as well.  It’s a good choice for those looking for something warm and sustainable.

Bamboo is another type and is a traditional Asian flooring resource.  It does look like hardwood, but it is cut directly from bamboo, which is a renewing, replenishable source that grows super fast.  They reach maturity in just 3-5 years, and often it holds about 70% more carbon than hardwoods.  Often, these can be harvested without the need to be replanted, since the roots are intact.  This is a great resource of those looking to leave a low carbon footprint as well.

Finally, there is cork flooring.  These planks are typically made from the bark of a tree called a cork oak, and it is a carefully harvested item that is renewable and sustainable flooring system for you.  It is typically stripped about once every 10 years once the tree turns 25.  However, these trees can live up to 200 years.

Many faux stone panels look good with this tree as well.  Not only that, it is an anti-microbial resource, a good insulator, and it is a comfortable substance.  It also has a springy substance that works with furniture and foot traffic which makes it even better.

These types of flooring are good to have if you’re looking for something that is sustainable, and feels good.  These flooring types are easy to get, and you can use them to make your home prettier, and to reduce your carbon footprint as well.
